New AOL Community Hub to Track the Hottest Gifts and Shopping Trends

What are consumers buying online this holiday season? America Online is keeping tabs on the hottest products of the season through a new community feature called "America's Shopping List," which will track trends and top AOL member product searches, as well as serve as a community hub where members can post reviews on their favorite products and even share gift suggestions for friends and family.

Created in an effort to help make holiday shopping more convenient and fun for AOL members, "America's Shopping List" will feature links to purchase some of the most popular gifts for the holidays, based on weekly themed polls, top product searches and message boards. The first edition of "America's Shopping List" indicates that Barbie dolls, Lego sets and Polly Pockets will be the top-selling toys this holiday season. Upcoming weekly themes include:


November 13th - Gifts for Home
November 20th - Hot Gadgets
November 27th -Hot Toys
December 4th - Gifts for Her
December 11th - Gifts for Him
December 18th - Last-Minute Gifts
December 26th - Belated Gifts

Through the partnership between macys.com and AOL, "America's Shopping List" will offer gifts from macys.com that directly correlate with the weekly themes and products AOL members have expressed an interest in for the holidays. In addition, macys.com will be offering added benefits for AOL members including free shipping and quick links to purchase macys.com virtual gift cards which are sent within 8 hours via email.
